A lot left unresolved
It was great except it felt very much part of a series with a lot left unresolved.
For example
- Belor and the others were taken prisoner and yet to be found
- Both Nesbit and Fidelis were undefeated
- There was a feeling of unfinished business between Keleios and Lothor
It felt like I'd jumped in at book two, where I missed all the "rules" regarding world-building, and where there is a lot of the story still to be told in books to come (of which there are none).
